The below slash ships were the more popular ones, most of them even had sites dedicated to the ship. I've posted some fanart and info I've saved from various sites about the ships. You will notice that some of the ships have more than one name This ship was pretty popular at one time, mostly due to the stories by femmenerd ~~~~~~~~ Tess/Liz - Catfighters 1. Why do you think Liz and Tess complement each other? Ivy: Ooooh. Well, brunette ALWAYS complements blonde. They're both tiny... but Liz's, shall we say, slight build would be, ah, "complemented" by Tess's... curviness. Or something. Oh, you wanted personality complements? Hmm. OK. See, they're both willing to make people face truths and to make decisions and stick to them, even if they aren't necessarily popular. (That's why I ship Liz with Michael, too, on an unrelated note.) For example-- it's kinda interesting that they're the only ones who really accepted "destiny" (a most loathed word at this point). Tess tried to make the others accept destiny, Liz tried to make Max accept it by walking away... In other words, they wouldn't be in a delusional relationship. No pedastals to be found anywhere, in fact. And then there's just the simplicity of "the sex kitten and innocent sweetheart". That's what it's really about. Courtnay: Other than they look simply stunning together??? Ummm....lets think and type something coherent... been mentioned already, but its one of my reasons: sex kitten and innocent. In what situation could you see them getting together? (Ie, if left alone, if Max wasn't there, by accident, so on...) Ivy: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I'd could definitely see a situation like the one in WhirlingGirl's "A Trick of the Light"...but then again I've read that fic like 20 times. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LOL... y'know, that's the first thing I thought of too. But then, that was one of the best fics I've ever read, so no wonder I'm biased. But I really do see them coming together through mutual pain. Maybe I'm just masochistic. But the "comfort" story is really how I see it happening. Or, of course, they simply come to the profound conclusion that neither of them want to be with Max, the psycho-stalker-who's "coming" for them... (Not a Max-bash. I swear. I loooove Max. Really. ) .... and realize that Max's ears have been blocking their view of each other in that whole 'lil love triangle thingie. Thus, they renounce the Tree Man and fall into each other's arms, swearing undying love and to never wear anything other than The Color Pink. Courtnay: Well...Liz would have no reason to "hate" Tess if it wasnt for Max. Actually I could see them being quite good friends otherwise... Maybe they just decide to be honest and let their true feelings out? Or maybe they work together on a school project, and while they work, they end up kissing... lots of ideas...they just won't develop properly into fics for me... Ivy: Oooooh, fun. Well, Max's flabber will be utterly gasted (not my line-- all hail Ash Jay!) and he'll no doubt become even more wooden and tree-like. Imagine lines like the following: "But Liz-- didn't you hear me? I said I was coming for you. Why weren't you waiting for me, placidly, in your room? What? You ran into Tess.....? What do you mean, you decided you wanted someone who wouldn't smother you? I always gave you space... I let you have an hour to yourself every day when we were together... I let you make three independent decisions a day, even!" (Facial twitch betrays emotion on otherwise wooden, expressionless face; voice trembles slightly, but otherwise remains a monotone.) "But... but... Liz, you mean everything to me...!" And, sadly, we know he's not exaggerating... Kyle will be most amused, and perhaps a little paranoid ("Dude, I dated both of them last year... my inner balance must be off. Or maybe it's my karma... I always get those mixed up...) Michael will be jealous, of course, because it's his Lizzy-bear9, darn it. Isabel will be greatly saddened ("But I thought Liz understood that when I said 'trust me' I really meant 'I know you want me....'") Maria will just be thrilled... the competion for her Maxie-poo and Kyle will be effectively removed. And Alex... yeah, Sara's right. He'd want to watch. Courtnay: Max will so not be pleased...he keeps saying Liz means everything to him, and Tess is his destined wife... gee...he's just going to love that... Kyle....I gotta say...he's sorta dated them both, but Kyle is so insecure(I love Kyle, I do, but he is...I think the Buddhism will help though) that he'd probably feel ia little inferior(i cant spell today) for a while, but then he'll get over it. Maria...well, if you believe some fics out there as gospel...either completely fine with it or jealous as heck. Michael...I agree with whom ever posted that he'd be jealous until they asked him to join...I love that idea. Isabel...thats a tough one...completely indifferent, jealous....left out...who knows with Izzy. Alex...Um yeah...he'd wanna watch. Jessamyn: (lyric answers) [Maria] I know who I am, but who are you?
