WB's Pulse Polls



The WB used to have a poll on their website every few days that asked a multiple choice questions
and had fans vote and leave comments, then they announced the winners at the end.
Of course all of the questions and answers were related to the WB's shows.

I think I saved all the polls and results that related to Roswell. They are reposted below
along with the fan comments, including the poll about Max Evans being elected president!

Okay, maybe the fact that it said Max was suppose to be with Liz, I kind of think this. (Oh, and by the way, thank you so much for letting it start this way!! I was so worried about Max and Tess being together when I season started up!!) Anyway, I don't really believe in destiny, fate, or stuff like that. I know this sounds kind of negative, but, ya, I think they're in control!!

Because the definition of ""destiny"" according to the New Webster's Dictionary and Thesaurus of the English Language is ""the power of fate; one's predetermined lot"". So by definition, destiny is predetermined. Anybody with a grasp of the English language beyond the junior high school level knows that. I know that the maturity level on this web site is around the 12 year old range, but I didn't realize that it also reflected the intellectual level of the site's employees.

I believe that destiny is preditermined, but fate, as in how you get to your destiny, is kinda up to you. Destiny puts things that you gotta go through, and the choices you make might bring you away from your destiny or closer to it. But in the end I believe we will all reach our destiny, if we make the right choices. But hey, that's my opinion.

I think it's somewhat determined, because I believe that someone is controlling all of this(our lives), but that they help us out only when we need help. They let us make our own decisions for the most part, but every once in a while they step in and assist us with our difficulties. That's what I think

Jamie would be too influenced by any scantily clad news women. Prue is tooo girly. good at leading the way, not good at working powerless. Giles rules!

I believe that Prue Halliwell would make a very good president for three reasons. First of all, she has excellent leadership skills(which is only so obvious). She is the one who take charge of her sisters when they are planning how they are going to kill a demon. A second reason is that she has the best powers of all three sisters, and if a nation crisis should occur her and her sister could use the power of three to fix the problem (ignore that personal gain stuff). The script was beautiful and the emphasis no the older and younger generation coming together really said something.

First episode this season to be truly character driven and moving, while still combining the sci fi aspects of the show. This is the kind of show Roswell needs to be -- one that combines heart with a good old fashioned science fiction yarn. Best parts: Good balance of all the characters. It was great that the humans were featured again, particularly Kyle and Alex. We finally saw friendship moments between Alex/Maria, Liz/Maria, Maria/Max. I had really missed the close bonds between the characters in all the hostility and secrecy of this season (the Max-Michael feud is particularly pointless and boring to watch). The acting was stellar all around. The finals moments were very haunting. The one thing lacking from this episode: we see Max, Liz, and Maria agonizing, but Michael is just laughing it up with Isabel in one scene, and then watching the game in another. Doesn't he care at all about Maria's feelings? If not, he needs to cut her loose once and for all, and stop giving her mixed signals. Given the ending of the previous episode, I would have liked to see a little more character continuity with Michael's epiphany there, and how it affects his relations with his friends. I would also like an explanation for why he kissed Courtney in that final scene, because from the way it was directed, I have no idea what his motivations there were. Was he attracted to her, or trying to investigate her? I still haven't figured it out The problems with Michael taint an otherwise great episode. As it is, I give it an A-. Very poignant and well done.

All I got to say is Mr. Katimas is one of the best writers of our time. How in the heck did he come up with this story? It was amazing! Now that the Royal Four are a unit it is time to get my favorite human (Liz) and my favorite alien (Max) back as a loving couple. I mean come on, they are apart more than they are together. Just once shouldn't they stay as couple for more than or two eps without constant obstacles every turn they make.

I love the Max/Liz dynamic. This episode actually focused on relationship development AND scifi. Do you think you could do that more often. The show is just one-dimensional without character development. I would like to see them used more. Max and Liz are basically the whole existence for the show.

It had everything. The scenes between Max & Liz were as intense/well written as in Titanic. The music was perfect and the pain that Liz had to go through was so intense. To top it off it ended with you wanting more. I had to watch it 3 times just to get my fix. Liz lost Max not once but twice in one night. Now how much more heart break can someone actually have then that?

I mean eotw was just too much to behr, couldn't handle the the emotional breakdown of max and especially Liz. ARCC was just too much I suppose. MTD was really good but the whole and only sci-fi thing bore me to death. and skin and bones really was nothing, I mean it's kinda like an intro to the whole season's show and it's not as good well balanced as the hybrid chronicles. ~Thank you...

I enjoyed these, especially the third one. It blended SciFi, comedic moments, drama, and teen angst. It was great. Reality is a mixture of all emotions, and situations. These chronicles while not really realistic, (in the true life sense) were true to life in that they had it all.

I think the actors all did a superb job. We got to see different, and sometiems deeper sides, to the characters with Max wanting to save all the children, Maria wanting to be a mother to a sick child, and Michael wishing he had the ability to help them. Tess and Isabel's characters also showed deeper (and comical) sides with their need for normalcy and family. The episode was very well done.

I just really liked this episode. It was the first time for Shiri to really shine since the season began and it was good for her to have a bigger part in an episode. Let me just say that this had the feel of Season 1 Roswell. It had a sci-fi element to it, but we dealt with the characters and their feelings. There was heart in this episode, there was feeling in the episode. There was Liz helping Max and Max realizing that he still believes in Liz. It was Michael trying to put in a thought for what Maria would want, Isabel trying to be as normas as possible even though she knows it never will be. We had everyone conveying emotions, good, sad, and scared! This was the way the old Roswell felt...it felt good, no matter what was happening, whether it was suspensful, loving, or sad!

The End of the World, although extremely sad, was the only episode in the vein of last season's shows. I loved the emotion (Maria, Alex, and Liz). The acting was the best it could ever be. It is the only episode this season that I have watched several times. Last season, I watched many of them repeatedly and I still watch them. I just regret the end result of that episode as it has left an entire season without the Max and Liz relationship. The Dupes were too cartoonish. I didn't care for the Hybrid Chronicles. I am glad that they are over. I am looking forward to the next episodes because they are supposed to have more relationship in them than we have seen this season. (I don't mean alien relationship...I have had enough of that) Roswell is my favorite tv show. Even though it is not as compelling as it was last season, it is the best thing out there. I am sad that there are so few episodes left. I am looking forward to Leaving Las Vegas, but I hate that there will be no Roswell for 3 weeks after that. What a shame!

I think that an amusement park would be the best, because the rest are all slightly attainable things--well, maybe not the Lambourghini, but still, wouldn't you rather ride rollercoasters and eat multi-colored cotten candy all day? If Valenti doesn't get his badge back soon, how on earth is he going to earn a living to support not only himself and Kyle, but also Tess? Also, as to why I didn't vote for the other things, I am tired of seeing people break up and get back together. This plot device is getting a little old in my opinion; not every teenage relationship is constantly turbulant and troubled. Aside from which, they have never done anything to resolve the issue of Tess' potential departure which would supposedly bring about the end of the world. Until the group makes sure she has established some real ties, I will have difficulty believing that Liz would take the risk, or if she did, my opinion of her would drop quite a bit. Nasedo coming back from the dead is just unbelievable, in my opinion, and while Kivar showing up at the prom would be interesting (although how exactly would he get there, I wonder?), I would still rather see an ongoing issue like Valenti's job get resolved.

All of the above. The show always seems to be on such shaky ground in terms of renewal and this ridiculous starting/stopping a season in mid season to present a whole other show. I would like to see the show return to its roots a bit more. The kids are acting just a bit too men in black for my tastes and I would like to also see more of their powers develop rather than the cloak and dagger existence.
